We met Rachelle Lefevre from Twilight!

My friend Lisa (who hasn't read the Twilight series or seen the movie) called me about 9:30 last night to let me know that one of the Twilight actors would be at the Riverton Wal-Mart. (She got insider info from a relative who works there.) So after much begging and pleading for her to come with me, she finally agreed, letting me know that I owed her big-time because she was in her pj's and ready for bed. I got ahold of Brandie right before we left and she agreed to come.

Brandie & Lisa

When we got there it was pure madness. This is where we were and the view we had. As you can tell we couldn't see a thing!

I also called Lindsay (fellow TM and Twilight freak) on our way there and she came from Bountiful and met us.

Lisa, Brandie and I trying to get our picture with Rachelle Lefevre (Victoria) in the background.

After some major hook-up from Lisa's relative we were able to get a lot closer. He even got us all signed copies of the DVD!

She is so pretty and even more so in person.

We didn't get to go through the line and actually meet her but we were able to sit about 10 -15 feet away from her for about an hour and a half and watch her interact with the fans. It was so fun! She was so nice and never quit smiling the entire time. We all said her cheeks had to be sore from all that smiling! Thanks Lisa for getting us "in". I totally owe you! And thanks Jayson and Brandie for humoring an obsessed fan. That was a blast. And to my super cool mother in law, Khris who came to watch my kids til 1:30 in the morning! Love you guys!

P.S. Sam, I didn't forget you! I thought about calling you, but I knew you were home alone with Tayte and wouldn't want to drag him out til the wee hours of the morning!

I didn't mean to....

So I was working on the laptop upstairs when I lost my internet connection and had to go downstairs to try to fix it. When I went downstairs Hadlie was sitting on the couch getting her daily dose of Dora. I was probably downstairs for about 15 minutes and that motherly sixth sense kicked in that told me something wasn't quite right. So I went upstairs to check on her and she was right where I left her watching Dora. She heard me come up the stairs and turned around and smiled at me and said "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to." Oh crap. What did she do? She says "come here, I'll show you." She lead me into my bathroom where I could hear the water running in the bathtub before I even got in there, and found this........

She had chucked the enire contents of my top drawer(which was all very organized) (oh, and why don't we throw in some slippers too while we're at it)into the tub and was running the water all over everything! I had to immediatly leave and lock myself in my closet and laugh. Then I went out with a straight face and made her go to time-out. Then after time-out she helped me dry everything off and put it all away. Luckily nothing was ruined, but it's not fun to try to put makeup on when all your brushes are wet! Little Stinker!

This & That

It's been a slow month for blogging. So I decided to post a little of this and a little of that. Just to give myself something to do. It's either blog or clean, and I'm just not in the mood to clean right now.

The night before Gracie's birthday we had a surprise "get together".(Because technically she wasn't going to have a party this year) The girls came in their pj's. They ate and played and watched a movie, and went home at 10:00pm. It was my kind of party. No games or prizes. I didn't have to entertain them. And they still had lots of fun. Short and sweet!

For Christmas Gracie asked for an American Girl doll. But she got an ipod instead. I figured she would forget about the doll after Christmas, but she didn't. I just have a hard time dropping $100+ on a doll. But that was all she wanted. She begged and begged. So She finally got the doll for her birthday. I'll never forget the look on her face when she opened it. It was way worth the money.

Then we took her to Red Robin for lunch, and went to see Hotel for Dogs. Which is a really cute movie and she loved it! Overall, I 'm pretty sure she had a great birthday!

Gracie & Hadlie enduring the long, boring winter months. Curling up in bed watching a movie.

They were super proud of this baby snowman they made all by themselves!

I met up with some old friends for lunch. Jaime Sommer and Angela Rasmussen. I hadn't seen them in over 10 years. It was so good to see them and catch up. We need to do that more often.

On Valentines we had a candlelight family dinner. I made everyone's favorite dinner. (lasagna) and decorated the table with rose petals and candy hearts, and set candles out everywhere. I made them wait downstairs until everything was ready. When they came upstairs they were all surprised. Gracie thought that was the neatest thing ever. She kept asking "Can we do this every Valentines Day?"

When Hadlie came up she said "Is it my birfday?" All she wanted to do was blow out the candles and make a wish.

The most fun they had was when dinner was over. They gathered up all the rose petals and threw them everywhere, buried each other, and had rose petal treasure hunts (where the petals were the treasure, I guess.)

And yesterday since Gracie was out of school, we went and saw Coraline in 3D. So here we are in our goofy 3D glasses. They left big dents in our noses too. But the movie was awesome. I think I liked it better than Gracie. It was kinda spooky for kids her age. She still liked it though. I know it's a thumbs up when she says "Can we buy that one when it comes out on DVD?"

So that's a little of what's been going on the last month. I can't wait til spring!

Gracie turns 7!

I can't believe it! She is 7 years old. (On Jan. 24th) It seems like forever ago that I had her, yet it doesn't seem right that she's 7( going on 17)!!

Ahhh... Where to start? Gracie is such a sweetheart! I'm so lucky to have her as my daughter. And Hadlie is lucky to have her as a sister. She is an awesome big sister and loves that role. Gracie is one of the goofiest kids I've come across, especially around just her mom and dad. Sometimes I wonder if she's really mine?
She is a perfect mix of a girlie girl and a tomboy. On one hand she loves to dance, dress up, paint her nails, put on make up,and usually throws a fit if I try to dress her in anything except pink or purple. Then on the other hand, she likes soccer, camping, riding 4 wheelers, hunting with her dad. In the summertime she could live in our trailer in Schofield (where she could care less about what she wears or what color it is).
I got a little carried away with the slideshow. I got looking at all her cute baby pictures and couldn't narrow it down to just 10 or 20.

This is Gracie's favorite song, This Is Me from Camp Rock! Then of course, Love Story by Taylor Swift.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LULU! WE LOVE YOU!

Family pictures

Now that Christmas is over and all my gifts are given, I'm going to post the rest of our family pitures. Here they are....

Oooo.. Did we scare you? Whitney "cullenized" us. This is what we would look like as vegetarian vampires. Cool huh?

This is the real one

Tis the Season

I've got to say a BIG thank you to Whitney who made our Christmas cards (above) and took our family pictures. I'm saving them for Christmas presents, so I'll post them after Christmas to show off what a good job she did. Thanks again!

Like we do most every year, we went to Schofield to cut down our Christmas trees after Thanksgiving. Here is Hadlie after helping uncle Tyson cut down his tree. (That really is her under all that camo)

Hadlie & Aunt Lacey keeping each other warm

As soon as there are snowflakes in the air, Gracie is begging to go out and play in the snow. Hadlie is no different. Every morning when she wakes up, she looks out the window and if there is even a skiff of snow on the ground she is dressing herself (in dresses, I might add) and putting her boots on to go outside. It never lasts long, but as long as they get their daily dose of outside playtime, we're good!

Gracie making snow angels

On Saturday we went to a Christmas party at my moms. We ate way too much yummy food, made gingerbread houses and decorated sugar cookies. We all had lots of fun, especially the girls. Hadlie sat in the same spot for an hour just putting sprinkles on the cookies. Gracie helped Jayson build the gingerbread house, but then his perfectionist side kicked in and she got bored watching him have all the fun. Then we busted out the hula hoops and Gracie kicked all of our butts! She put us all to shame. She's been practicing all day and getting even better!

Hadlie & Aunt Carly. When I took this pic they both tilted their heads at the same time. It wasn't even planned. So cute!

Me, my mom, Kayla and Austin busy frosting cookies so Hadlie would have something to put sprinkles on.

Uncle Cory helped frost some cookies too. Under the rough exterior, Cory is a just a big teddy bear. Hadlie LOVES her uncle Cory!

Jayson putting the finishing touches on his gingerbread house. Way to go J!
