Tis the Season

I've got to say a BIG thank you to Whitney who made our Christmas cards (above) and took our family pictures. I'm saving them for Christmas presents, so I'll post them after Christmas to show off what a good job she did. Thanks again!

Like we do most every year, we went to Schofield to cut down our Christmas trees after Thanksgiving. Here is Hadlie after helping uncle Tyson cut down his tree. (That really is her under all that camo)

Hadlie & Aunt Lacey keeping each other warm

As soon as there are snowflakes in the air, Gracie is begging to go out and play in the snow. Hadlie is no different. Every morning when she wakes up, she looks out the window and if there is even a skiff of snow on the ground she is dressing herself (in dresses, I might add) and putting her boots on to go outside. It never lasts long, but as long as they get their daily dose of outside playtime, we're good!

Gracie making snow angels

On Saturday we went to a Christmas party at my moms. We ate way too much yummy food, made gingerbread houses and decorated sugar cookies. We all had lots of fun, especially the girls. Hadlie sat in the same spot for an hour just putting sprinkles on the cookies. Gracie helped Jayson build the gingerbread house, but then his perfectionist side kicked in and she got bored watching him have all the fun. Then we busted out the hula hoops and Gracie kicked all of our butts! She put us all to shame. She's been practicing all day and getting even better!

Hadlie & Aunt Carly. When I took this pic they both tilted their heads at the same time. It wasn't even planned. So cute!

Me, my mom, Kayla and Austin busy frosting cookies so Hadlie would have something to put sprinkles on.

Uncle Cory helped frost some cookies too. Under the rough exterior, Cory is a just a big teddy bear. Hadlie LOVES her uncle Cory!

Jayson putting the finishing touches on his gingerbread house. Way to go J!

Twilight Time

If you can't read what that says, It's from Summit and says thanks for making Twilight the #1 movie in America and that they are moving forward with NEW MOON!!
Yay! So hopefully at this time next year we'll be doing the same thing!

So, I did this kinda backwards, but oh well. This is the 2nd night we went to see Twilight with all our hubbies. They were all really good sports and even liked it. Wade and Brandie were there too, but sat up above us and i totally forgot to get a pic of them. Sorry guys.

Brandon & Heidi (I gotta say you look HOT in this pic Heidi, you looked so cute lastnight, not in a gay way though)

Chevy & Amberlie

Me & Jayson (BTW, He finished Twilight and is now in the middle of Midnight Sun) What a guy!

Carly & Austin before the movie at Ruby River, such a cute couple! I love youguys!!

The midnight showing
Krista, Jessica, Ashley, me, Whitney. Right when they took this pic someone said " Haley, the line is moving" so I turned my head, and then the chaos started. Everyone was running, trying to get seats. Luckily we all ended up together, but when we first got in there, some of us were down on the front row. It was crazy!

Me & Sam:
Sam, I'm so glad you came with us! It was fun to hang out with you outside of "work".

In the theater waiting for the movie to start....

Waiting in line, all of us in red, black and white.

Outside of Red Robin where we ate we posed by this big sign, and a group of guys walked by us yelling "Yeah, Edward". We all know we are nerds, and freely admit it.

I went again on Saturday afternoon and took Gracie, but I forgot to get any pics. She has been so curious to see what all this Twilight stuff is about. She asked me to read it to her, but I didn't think it would hold her attention very well, so I told her I would take her to the movie when it came out. She sat there the whole 2 hours and didn't make a peep. She said she liked it, but I could tell she was a little bored. We went with my mom, my mom in law, sis in law Lacey, and Carly again. We saw it at Spanish 8 because Cinemark was sold out of every showtime, and it sucked! The picture was bad, the sound was bad. It made the movie bad. I won't go there again.
After 3 times, I love it! I didn't at first, but it's grown on me for sure. Kinda like Breaking Dawn.
If anyone wants to go again, I'm game. I don't know how many more times I'll go between now and when the DVD comes out.

Husband Tag

A friend tagged me for this. I thought it was a really good idea since we don't usually talk too much about our hubbies. So here it goes.........

Here's my cute hubby!

Full name: Jayson J. Miller
How long we've been married: 9 1/2 years, but we've been together for almost 14 years. Wow, I'm getting old!
How long did we date: 4 1/2 years
Who eats the sweets: Jayson, for sure! He's a candy freak. I can't take him grocery shopping, we would spend all our money on the candy isle.
Who said I love you first: I did. He was too chicken.
Who is taller: Jayson, by a few inches
Who sings better: Jayson. I couldn't carry a tune to save my life!
Who is smarter: I don't know. That's a hard one. I'm mostly book smart, but he's better at the common sense stuff.
Who does the laundry: I do, because Jayson hangs the girls nightgowns on hangers.
Who pays the bills: We both earn the money, (he earns most of it) but I pay the bills.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed: Jayson
Who mows the lawn: Mostly Jayson, he doesn't like how I do it.
Who cooks dinner: Nobody! Do scrambled eggs and grilled cheese sandwiches count as dinner?
Who drives: Me, if we want to stay alive! Jayson falls asleep driving! He'll say he doesn't, but he SO does.
Who admits they are wrong: We both do, probably him more than me though.
Who asked who out first: He asked me out.
Who wears the pants: It's pretty even. I'd say more me than him. He's so easygoing.
What does he do that surprises you: He's reading Twilight right now cause i asked him to, and he likes it! That surprises me. He's not afraid to try new things.
My favorite feature on him: It's hard to pick just one. I like his eyes.
Favorite quality he has: He's very humble. He doesn't like to be the center of attention or talk about himself. I find that very attractive!
Does he have a nickname for you: Babe or Honey are the usual.
His favorite food: He always wants pizza!
His favorite sport: Hunting. Ugh!
Our favorite thing to do as a couple: Umm... That's kinda private! Just kiddin. We like to hang out as a family. Get cozy in the Lovesac and watch funny movies, we play online poker together alot. That's fun.
Does he have any hidden talents: He's quite the artist, and he's Mr. Handyman. He can fix, rig, or build just about anything. For my birthday 3 years ago he built me a bed and 2 matching night stands. He built the computer desk that I'm sitting at right now, and lots of little things like, flower boxes, picutre frames, the shutters on our house. He's nice to have around!
What do you admire most about him: Just that he is a genuinley, all around good guy. It would be too hard to pick just one thing. I couldn't ask for a better husband or dad for our kids.
His favorite color: I'm guessing green? Brown? Grey? I actually have no idea. Sorry Hon!
How did he propose: On Christmas Eve at his grandmas house in front of his whole family. I sat on Santas lap (which was Jaysons grandpa) and he gave me a present. I didn't think anything of it cause everyone got something from Santa. But when I unwrapped it, it was my ring. He didn't actually get down on one knee and ask me to marry him until later that night when we were alone. Like I said... He hates to be the center of attention.
I love ya J!

I tag everyone who reads this who hasn't been husband tagged yet! Even you Carly, he'll be your husband soon enough.

Here's a good one....

Looking for something good to read? Nothing compares to Twilight, but this one comes close in my opinion (in a different way though). Stephenie Meyer recommended it on her website, so I thought I'd try it. I couldn't put it down. It's not a love story, but there is a little romance in it. It's like a bad car accident you can't look away from. I hated what I was seeing in the story but I couldn't stop reading. Different, but good. If you read it, let me know if you liked it.

Pumpkins

We went and picked out pumpkins yesterday, and we sat the kids on this hay bale for a photo op. Hadlie is so funny. She either cheeses really big or poses. She decided to make a fist under her chin to pose, without being told. It was all her idea. She's actually very photogenic when she's not trying too hard, but she always has to be doing something nerdy. I love ya Hads!

I love this mischevious looking smile!

Gracie took alot of pride in choosing her own pumpkin. I think we looked at almost everyone in the field. But she had more fun going through the falling apart hay bale maze or whatever it was supposed to be.

On our last night in Forks, went to La Push where the real Quiliuete tribe did a tribal wolf dance for us, the we went down to first beach for a bonfire and storytelling.

Stupid shiny volvo!

Brandie and the poor local boy that everyone was lining up to take pictures with because they all thought he was a Jacob look a like.
(He was even wearing a leather jacket and holding his motorcycle helmet.)

We got up at 5 am to hike down to the beach during low tide and see the tidepools. There were starfish and anemones everywhere.

On our way into La Push
Everywhere we drove, this is what it looked like.

Damn Bee!

How sad is this? Hadlie got stung by a bee this summer, not once, but twice. Right between the eyes. She only cried for a minute, but then was wierded out by the mud we put on her. She kept going cross eyed trying to look at it. She was all swollen and puffy for a few days and every time someone asked her what happened all she would say was "damn bee!"
